Toughest NDI-based Polyurethane Wheels
Vulkollan is known as high performance and toughest polyurethane. It is reacted by using NDI-polyester through hot casting. They are widely used on toughest conditions where require heavy duty, high speed, great dynamic properties and excellent abrasion resistance. Shanghai Pepsen, a leading manufacturer of Vulkollan® wheels in China, has a long history of providing high-quality products since 2012. Our wheels have a long lifespan and are designed to withstand the toughest conditions, making them the preferred choice for national projects.
Both high performance NDI-based Polyurethane material and normal NDI-polyester based polyurethane available.
We can either use NDI-based Polyurethane material directly or compound customized NDI-polyester by in-house chemical reactors.
NDI-based Polyurethane elastomer can be produced in a range of hardness from about Shore70A- Shore70D. The mechanical properties are particularly favorable between Shore 80A and Shore 95A, which accounts for the majority of the main requirements.
Quality approved in national project- shield tunneling machine wheels
NDI-based Polyurethane material is one of the best but also most expensive polyurethane, so it is only considered when other polyurethane formulations fail. In 2012, we started to provide Vulkollan wheels used on shield tunneling machine for China Railway Construction Corporation Limited., they work in toughest tunnel condition with load on each wheel over hundreds tons. Best wheels from Germany lasted 800 meters while ours can last at least 1500 meters. Afterwards, we worked closely with customers to improve design, bonding agent and bonding process, after several years in-house testing and field testing, now the wheels can last minimum 3000 meters, and cost is only 30-40% of original supplier.
Quality approved in national project-mining monorail crane wheels
The quality of wheels is critical in mining monorail cranes, as they must withstand extreme conditions and heavy loads. Many competitors provided NDI-based Polyurethane wheels for testing in this project, but PEPSEN improved its formulation and process, which leads to longest lifespan among all competitors. After several years’ comparison in actual working condition, PEPSEN NDI-based Polyurethane wheels have been chosen as the only wheels supplier in this project,
